Photography Advice

I work from photographs. Good quality photographs improve the outcome of the artwork.  Here are a few tips on getting a good image for me to work from.

Try to capture an image of the dog at eye level, as you would if you were taking a photograph of a person.

The best photographs to work from have detail.  Look for photographs showing individual hairs with the nose and eyes in focus.

Look for photographs with light and dark.  It is especially effective to have light reflecting in the eyes.

It is best if you are able to provide me with a range of high resolution photographs.  Alternatively, if you live locally to the Cheltenham area, I could arrange with you to come and photograph your dog.
